Mohd Syukri Mohd TaibThe Undergraduates' Representative Council has done a monthly meeting on the 18th of June 2010. Here, we would like to inform a few updates concerning the Faculty of Dentistry(FoD).
FoD's rep - Goh Seong Ling and Mohd Syukri Mohd Taib have updated the council on a few issues.
Results on UMISISWEB:
FoD's students are now able to check your results at umisisweb. However, results are currently only displayed as 'Gagal', 'Lulus' or 'Lulus bersyarat'. FoD's rep has contacted PTM and FoD Vice Dean concerning this issue. The explaination given is that there are certain technical issues needed to be dealt with before the system can be fully implemented in FoD. There will be more follow-up on this matter.
Clinical fees of RM 1000:
FoD's rep have gotten a reply from JPA. JPA has agreed to pay for the additional RM 1000 clinical fees to JPA scholarship holders. This new policy will cover students in the academic year of 2009/2010, which means those that have just graduated will also benefit from this policy.
Kouk Foundation has also agreed to increase another RM 1000 for their scholars as well.
EL and KOK for dental students:
A survey will be carried out to check on the students' reception towards the idea of allowing them to take EL and KOK. Survey forms will be sent through emails. So please do check and contribute your feedback to your FoD rep.
