Congratulation! Prof. Dr Rohana is the new UM Deputy VC
An expert in dengue virus protease Prof Dr Rohana Yusof, has been appointed University of Malaya's new deputy vice-chancellor for student affairs and alumni.
The appointment of Prof Dr Rohana is for a three-year term, succeeding Assoc Prof Datuk Dr Azarae Idris whose term ended Saturday. Her appointment takes effect from Sunday, the university announced.
Prior to the appointment, Dr Rohana was the deputy director of the Higher Education Leadership Academy, an agency under the Higher Education Ministry. Dr Rohana holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, a Master in Science from the UM and a Bachelor in Science (Biochemistry) from the Lancaster University, United Kingdom.
